Both versions will correct lens distortion, chromatic aberration, corner shading and even edge softness automatically, but to get the perspective correction tools we now take for granted in other software for fixing converging verticals, for example, you need to get the DxO ViewPoint add-on, which is more again. (Image credit: Rod Lawton) (opens in new tab) The DxO PhotoLibrary is a basic but effective image organizer, now with EXIF, IPTC metadata support and keywords. So let’s take a look at what DxO PhotoLab 5 can do from a workflow perspective. I started with BFD drums, then BFD 2, and then BFD 3. I am still learning the program, but I have to say, I don't believe you can get better sounding drums than Superior Drummer 3. Part of the reason is the studio room chosen for the project, and the other reason is George Massenburg in the drum room and behind the mixing console.įirst observation: I love in SD3 than you just slide a grove to the bottom of the screen. Then you can copy or slide a verse 2 groove, pre chorus, multiple chorus, and ending grooves for the song. You can adjust the length of the groove if you want to add a fill anyplace you want. BFD3 does not have this, its more like Ride beat 1, Ride beat 2, instead of Verse 1, Verse 2 option. It helps you find what your looking for faster and what will fit certain things on a song faster. With BFD3 you have to have a midi controller, assign the hits to different keys, hold the key down with the loop feature on, and then switch to a different keyboard key during the song for different grooves and or fills. There were times I found it triggered too early or it won't trigger at times. The work flow of SD3 is much easer and faster. The sound of both drum software are excellent.
